Thanks for checking out this one-week devotional! I am so excited you've chosen to share in this journey with me and God.  If you haven't first read my post about why I am doing these devotional, I encourage you to check it out first.

This song has a special meaning to me (as most do, let's be honest 😊). This song became popular in one of the most challenging moments of my life to-date. In the fall of 2017, I unexpectedly lost my dear sister, Jordan. She died in a car crash at the age of 15, and my life was forever changed. I can still recall the morning in vivid detail; most of the afternoon is a haze.

However, I also remember very clearly one Sunday morning very soon after Jordan's death. Ben and I attended our home church for one of the first times since her death. Our worship team introduced "Do It Again". I had heard it before on the radio, but that moment, it took an entirely new, deeper meaning to me. You see, for those of you who don't know me, I also lost my mother when I was 15 – just over 10 short years before we lost Jordan. Tears poured down my face that morning in church.

Jesus got me through my mom's death. And, as the song sings, I knew He could do it again…but, even more so, I knew He would. Two years later (to this month), there are still times grief hurts more than I think I have strength to handle. But each time, Jesus shows me He is surrounding me in His love and strength; I don't have to have my own strength. I have great comfort both my mom and Jordan are singing and dancing among the streets of heaven.

So, yes, Jesus did it again…and I will never forget.

I hope this song and maybe even this one-week devotional ministers to your heart as it did to mine. I do not know what walls you're trying to collapse or nights you're wading through right now. But never doubt God – He will never fail you.
